He is a Director of the Stratford Music Centre management company.
In 1997 he was the Course Accompanist for the Colin Fleming Flute Course in Liverpool at which James Galway and accompanist John Lenehan were the special guests. For a number of years he appeared in concert with professional soprano Jayne May-Sysum with whom he released a CD. Chris has been involved with Stratford Music Centre’s Music Theatre Group and was MD for the Group’s performances of A Chorus Line at Stratford and Edinburgh, and for performances of Hot Mikado and Dazzle at Stratford.
He was a repetiteur for performances of Les Miserables in Concert at the Adrian Boult Hall, Birmingham Conservatoire and for an acclaimed production of the Schools Performing version of the Show presented by Alcester Grammar School.
Chris has enjoyed every minute of working for some 15 years with Barry as an accompanist and vocal coach and is delighted to continue this association with Midland Voices.
Footnote from the Choir:
Due to Barry's unfortunate illness in 2013, Chris very ably "took up the baton" as Musical Director for the "Fascinating Rhythm" and main November "Magic of Disney" concerts and the members of both the Midland Voice Balsall Singers and the Midland Voice Main Choir are eternally grateful to him.
