Barry Todd - Musical Director
Barry has been a musician since he was 4 years old! He played the piano, the recorder, the trumpet, and even played the first movement of the Schumann piano concerto with his local youth orchestra when he was 14, both in England and in Sweden.
He knew that music was going to be "his thing", and went to music college, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying piano and trumpet. Although going into teaching, he continued to either play in, or conduct amateur shows, then went professional as a player and conductor. His friendship with Dave Willetts meant that he conducted tours, and performed on TV and radio, and went on to work for P&O, and run conducting courses.
He loves rehearsing the Midland Voice Choirs, because, as he puts it, "everyone is so lovely!" His association with his fantastic musical arranger, Garry Griffiths, is long standing, and you can read about him here.
