Welcome to Midland Voices
This exciting singing organisation for the Midlands was formed in 2009, and is directed by Barry Todd.
The organisation started with one main choir rehearsing on Monday evenings, and this choir typically has over 200 members and normally gives its concerts, with the 30 piece Midland Voice Orchestra, at Butterworth Hall,Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick.
Two smaller "Daytime" choirs that rehearse during the day, have since been added in Whitnash, Leamington on Thursdays and in Balsall Common on Tuesdays.
The daytime choirs each have a facebook page,

So Midland Voices offers a choice of three choirs, and a number of concerts each year: the main choir with unique opportunities to sing with the Midand Voice Orchestra at Warwick Arts Centre, and other performances by the daytime choirs to raise funds for local charities. The total raised for charities to 2016, is an amazing £60,000.
New Singers are always welcome. There are no auditions for the chorus, and all singers have the opportunity to audition to perform solo parts, duets or ensemble pieces in each of the concerts.

This Day – Naxos Recording Project
Fiona and David Harris (alto 2 and bass in Midland Voices) wondered whether anyone might feel able to support a really worthwhile project.
Their daughter Hilary, along with her choir Blossom Street, is raising funds to record a Naxos disc which will celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage.
All the music has been written for upper voices by women composers; it will be performed by women and conducted by Hilary.
Hilary explains more about the project in the following interview:
